Progressivism and Humanitarianism – Conflict of Interests? Maybe…

February 8, 2010

It’s so easy for people to pass off those who oppose Obama’s agenda as bigots or having a disdain for the poor. This has evolved into a standard argument raised by people on the left to in effect depersonalize dissent as something selfish or harmful to society. However, seldom is this claim brought up with any substantive base. In fact, in many cases the exact opposite ends up panning to be true. Just take a look at the way all major world dictators made their way to power when force was not an option. They disguised themselves as humanitarians and tried to empathize with those who have less. In the end nothing gets fixed, the only result is an increase in central authority over the people of a nation. There are so many examples of this panning out in history. The question becomes: How much more can this country take? Read more »

Climate Woes Continue for IPCC, US Polticians

February 4, 2010

Everyone wants to know the answer to the question: how long can a fraud continue to be passed off as truth. The Global Warming movement has done an incredible job at keeping people hooked on the notion that humans are endangering our climate when time and time again they continue to get proven wrong. They have albeit conceded that the so-called science they rooted their claims in was false. Read more »

Post SOTU Reaction – Is This Country in Trouble?

January 29, 2010

I’m still trying to figure out whether Wednesday Night’s Speech was really a State of the Union Address or a campaign address for 2010. Either way, it did not serve to unite even the democrats much less the entire political spectrum in what turned out to be 70 minutes of self promoting, passing of blame and high reaching words that meant nothing. What we witness during the State of the Union was not an episode of leadership but rather a demonstration of one of the most radical, partisan agendas this country has seen in years. Read more »

Dems seeking Substantial New Raise to Debt Limit

January 20, 2010

If you’re a democrat trying to raise the debt limit so you can afford the amount of borrowing required for your programs the strategy is obvious – get it out of the way now and spend the rest of the year trying to justify it for the voters later. Well that’s exactly what they are trying to do with the newly proposed 1.9 trillion dollar hike in the national debt ceiling right now. This would allow our national debt to reach 14.3 trillion. In the mean time, the US total debt (national and everything else) has eclipsed 50 trillion. Unsustainable? I would think so. Read more »

Scott Brown Wins in Massachusetts – What’s Next?

January 20, 2010

There is hope for this country my friends. I hope you listened to my program from last night as we brought in the results. I had Bill McMicheals, the founder of newsnetusa.com,  on the program for breaking news and commentary. You can hear it all at www.blogtalkradio.com/conservative-underground.

I want to address the concerns raised about the whole lesser than two evils mentality that they were bringing up about this election. Right off the bat, The outcome of this whole election was amazing in light of the fact that Ted Kennedy held this seat for decades, meaning he had to be re-elected several times. Read more »

State of the Union: What should we Expect?

January 19, 2010

We now stand – one year into the presidency of Barrack Obama. It’s time to evaluate the state of this nation from one year ago and the much anticipated state of the union address will be the president’s chance to make his case for the past years success and plans for the future. The attitude of the American public may not be so welcoming to Obama’s address next week. Even the president himself has admitted his failure to unite this country. Read more »

Mass. Senate Race becoming National Spotlight

January 16, 2010

Tensions are high since we are days away from the Massachusetts special election for Ted Kennedy’s old Senate seat. It is a race that democrats a few weeks ago thought was in the bag. They are now stuck with a nail-biter as Scott Brown continues to gain in the polls heading down the stretch. Nearly every poll you look at gives Scott Brown at least a slight lead percentage-wise over Coakley and that gap is increasing daily. Read more »

Haiti: Total Devastation – It’s time to Do What Americans Do Best

January 14, 2010

Fellow Readers and Listeners of the Conservative Report,
In the wake of what has turned out to be one of the greatest disasters in the western hemisphere we are going to spend at least part of tonight’s show talking about some of the devastation seen over there. I apologize for neglecting to even mention this story on Tuesday night’s program – I had seen the news of the quake before I went to do that show – but I’ve been used to seeing so many high magnitude earth quakes in the news from out in the pacific among other areas, that I didn’t think twice at the time how significant the devastation ended up being. We don’t even have clear estimates of what the death toll could end up reaching – that’s how dire the situation is down there. The commotion and chaos is unimaginable. This is already the poorest nation in the western hemisphere and an incident like this beyond decimates whatever this nation even has left. Read more »

Health Bill Making Slow Progress in Legislature

January 13, 2010

The process to resolve the Senate and House versions of the health care bill could be long in the making. The two versions of the bill have many significant differences that  congressmen and senators are not going to compromise very easily on. It could take until February before a tangible, agreed upon bill could be on the table. Top issues being debate include the public option, the tax on cadillac insurance plans and medicare taxes – none of which are being agreed upon easily and all of which are being negotiated largely behind closed doors. Muslim Violence in Malaysia, but Islam is Peaceful Right?

January 10, 2010

I keep trying to give Islam a chance but every time it fails. Reports today surfaced of four Christian churches being brazenly attacked by Muslims following a court decision allowing Christians to use the name Allah to refer to God. If there isn’t enough proof in the pudding already that this is a violent faith – I’m not quite sure what you’re waiting for. It’s not a coincidence that every single war in the world today has at least some connection to Islamist Jihad. Now by no means can you say that all Muslims subscribe to this kind of behavior, but at the same time it is so rampant that it is becoming epidemic in this faith. Read more »
